How the Vauxhall Corsa compares with the market
Holding mileage, fuel and gearbox constant, each extra year of age takes about 5.8% off the asking price of a used Vauxhall Corsa. That is roughly in line with the market, which loses about 5–6% a year, and ranks 7th of the 15 most-listed models in our study (1st loses the least).
Each extra 10,000 miles takes about 4.4% off, which is less sensitive to mileage than the market (about 5% per 10,000 miles); that ranks 4th of 15 for mileage. Overall, the Vauxhall Corsa sits close to the typical used car, with age doing slightly more of the damage.
Vauxhall Corsa asking prices by year
The oldest model year in the table, 2018 (13 cars), has a median asking price of £7,999 with 36,830 miles. The newest, 2026, sits at £14,999 with 1,304 miles. The biggest jump between consecutive years is from 2023 (£10,974) to 2024 (£13,699), partly because the newer cars have fewer miles (9,404 against 25,931).
| Year | Cars | Median price | Median mileage |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2018 | 13 | £7,999 | 36,830 |
| 2019 | 46 | £8,599 | 34,720 |
| 2020 | 47 | £8,999 | 47,085 |
| 2021 | 54 | £9,599 | 31,306 |
| 2022 | 67 | £10,499 | 23,605 |
| 2023 | 124 | £10,974 | 25,931 |
| 2024 | 33 | £13,699 | 9,404 |
| 2025 | 94 | £15,049 | 8,369 |
| 2026 | 69 | £14,999 | 1,304 |
Medians mix trims, engines and fuel types, so a single year's figure can move up or down with the mix of cars on sale. The per-year and per-mile rates above come from a regression that controls for fuel and gearbox.
What this means if you're selling your Vauxhall Corsa
Petrol accounts for 95% of Corsas for sale and only 26% are automatic, so a manual petrol Corsa is the default choice and you will be competing with a lot of very similar cars. Clean presentation, a full service record and a sensible asking price matter more than unusual extras.
If yours is an automatic, say so in the first line of the advert: the data puts an automatic about 14% above an equivalent manual, and with only about one Corsa in four having one, it helps you stand out. The Corsa Electric is 5% of listings, so compare an electric car with other electric Corsas, not with petrol ones.
What this means if you're buying a used Vauxhall Corsa
With 550 cars listed, the Corsa was the most-advertised model in the whole sample, which gives you room to walk away from a car you are unsure about. 2023 is the deepest year (124 cars at a median £10,974), so it is the easiest year to compare like with like.
Because mileage costs this model 4.4% per 10,000 miles against 5.8% per year of age, a slightly older car with average miles is often better value than a newer one with very low miles.
Worked example
A 2023 Vauxhall Corsa with 25,931 miles is advertised at about £10,974. One more year of age takes off roughly £640; 10,000 more miles takes off roughly £480. A year in which you also drive 10,000 miles would cost around £1,120 in lost value, before fuel, tax, insurance and servicing.
