Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

These terms govern your use of moValue (movalue.co.uk). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Our service

moValue provides UK car valuations based on publicly available data and our proprietary valuation model. We are an independent service and are not owned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any car buying service, dealership group, or government agency.

Valuations are estimates, not guarantees

Every valuation you see on moValue is an estimate based on the data we have at the time. It is not a binding offer to buy your car. Actual prices paid can differ depending on condition, local demand, negotiation, paperwork, modifications and dozens of other factors.

You must not treat a moValue valuation as a professional appraisal for insurance, lending, legal or tax purposes. For those uses, consult a qualified vehicle valuer or surveyor.

DVLA and MOT data

We use DVLA Vehicle Enquiry API and DVSA MOT History API data, which are both Crown copyright. We display this information for your convenience but cannot guarantee its accuracy. If you spot a discrepancy, please contact the relevant government body directly.

Acceptable use

You may use moValue for personal, non-commercial valuations of vehicles you own or are considering buying/selling. You may not:

Accounts

Creating an account is optional. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on the account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised.

Payments and premium features

Most of moValue is free. We also offer paid features (e.g. the moValue Insights Report) priced in GBP and processed by Stripe. By purchasing a paid feature you agree that:

Third-party sites

moValue links to third-party car buying services (e.g. Motorway, WeBuyAnyCar, Carwow). If you click through and transact with them, that is a separate contract between you and them. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for their services, prices or data practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, moValue is not liable for any indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from your use of the service, including any decision you make based on a valuation shown here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Where changes are material, we will notify registered users by email and update the date at the top of this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of England and Wales.
