How the Nissan Qashqai compares with the market
Holding mileage, fuel and gearbox constant, each extra year of age takes about 7.1% off the asking price of a used Nissan Qashqai. That is faster than the market, which loses about 5–6% a year, and ranks 15th of the 15 most-listed models in our study (1st loses the least).
Each extra 10,000 miles takes about 5.1% off, which is close to the market rate of about 5% per 10,000 miles; that ranks 8th of 15 for mileage. Overall, the Nissan Qashqai loses value faster than the typical used car.
Nissan Qashqai asking prices by year
The oldest model year in the table, 2017 (10 cars), has a median asking price of £9,449 with 53,576 miles. The newest, 2026, sits at £25,079 with 1,050 miles. The biggest jump between consecutive years is from 2024 (£19,399) to 2025 (£23,199), partly because the newer cars have fewer miles (10,436 against 17,895).
| Year | Cars | Median price | Median mileage |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2017 | 10 | £9,449 | 53,576 |
| 2018 | 20 | £9,399 | 55,964 |
| 2019 | 47 | £11,099 | 48,487 |
| 2020 | 24 | £11,699 | 37,918 |
| 2021 | 35 | £15,249 | 27,359 |
| 2022 | 76 | £15,799 | 27,892 |
| 2023 | 154 | £16,324 | 23,864 |
| 2024 | 83 | £19,399 | 17,895 |
| 2025 | 55 | £23,199 | 10,436 |
| 2026 | 21 | £25,079 | 1,050 |
Medians mix trims, engines and fuel types, so a single year's figure can move up or down with the mix of cars on sale. The per-year and per-mile rates above come from a regression that controls for fuel and gearbox.
What this means if you're selling your Nissan Qashqai
At 7.1% a year, the Qashqai loses value with age faster than any other model in our top 15. Timing matters more than usual: if you are already planning to change car, selling sooner keeps more of the value than it would with most rivals.
Automatics make up 52% of listings and are advertised about 16% higher than manuals, so make the gearbox clear in your advert. Petrol is 70% of the market and hybrids 23%; diesel is now a small niche at 6%, so a diesel seller has fewer direct comparisons to lean on.
What this means if you're buying a used Nissan Qashqai
The fast age-related drop works in a buyer's favour. A 2019 Qashqai is advertised at a median £11,099 (47 cars), less than half the £23,199 median for 2025 cars.
2023 is the most common year (154 cars, median 23,864 miles), which makes it the easiest year to shop around in and negotiate on.
Worked example
A 2023 Nissan Qashqai with 23,864 miles is advertised at about £16,324. One more year of age takes off roughly £1,160; 10,000 more miles takes off roughly £830. A year in which you also drive 10,000 miles would cost around £1,990 in lost value, before fuel, tax, insurance and servicing.
